Aperol & Lemonade
A perfect, simple cocktail for the summer. Aperol gained popularity after WWII, and has a bittersweet taste.
Mix the following:
- 1.5 oz. Aperol
- 8 oz. Lemonade
- Ice (to your taste)
- 1 orange slice, for garnish
- Fill a rocks glass with ice, Aperol, and lemonade; stir to combine. Top orange slice garnish; serve immediately.
Aperol is produced by the Campari company. Aperol was originally created in 1919, but it did not become successful until after World War II. Its ingredients are, among others, bitter orange, gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona.
